If done right, biopics can make you feel you know a popular or a lesser known individual really well, even as it help its creators and actors win multiple awards . But if they are done wrong, they can make you lose your cool and scream at the screen. When the trailer of Aamir Khan’s Dangal was released, most of us were convinced that the film’s director Nitesh Tiwari had perfectly roped in the star as Mahavir Singh Phogat, the head of the only family of female wrestlers from Haryana, including the medal-winning Geeta and Babita.

Dangal is a story of earnestness, diligence and personal sacrifice that is needed to create indomitable sports champions. It is story that revolves around Phogat’s ambition to turn his daughters Geeta (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita (Sanya Malhotra) not just skilled wrestlers but also winners. It is a film that shows Phogat’s immense faith in his daughters’ potential to make it big and to prove his ‘chhoris’ are far better than ‘chhoras’.

Referred to as a perfectionist, maverick, and even a marketing genius, Aamir Khan continues to distance himself from the formula film and opt for a unique idea, instead. And going by the efforts that he has invested in pulling off the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, Aamir has once again proved he doesn’t mind undergoing quick and dramatic physical transformation to play his part. Since Dangal portrays the wrestler's story in multiple stages of his life, Aamir had to go through several physical transformations.

Trailer Review

Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos a well made trailer, especially at a time when trailers have started to present the entire film on a platter. It's one that doesn't reveal too much, but much like a kaleidoscope, through fast moving images and moments, reveals the tone of the film, and what we can expect.

The trailer begins with an introduction to Ranbir and Katrina's characters and while the film seems to be shot all over India, they first meet in Manipur. Ranbir is a quirky guy, and in essense, so is Katrina, and we are taken through a dreamy, whirlwind journey - with ostrich rides, bike rides through the dessert, races with elephants, and much more adventure.
The look and feel of the film gives you a whiff of Basu's earlier movie with Ranbir, Barfi! mostly because Ranbir is seen in school clothes and as a hosteler. But then we see him in multiple avatars. Not much is revealed about ages, or any other character details.
However, with Disney producing the film, you definitely get a sense of watching a children's film. Whether that is a pro or con for Jagga Jasoos, only time will tell.
Amid all the visuals, the last 30 seconds of the trailer *finally* reveal something about Katrina and Ranbir's chemistry.

Remember Fame Gurukul? It was an incredibly popular reality television show back in 2005 when reality TV shows were just getting big. And I’ve gotta say, I was totally obsessed with it. In fact, when I started thinking of Fame Gurukul again today, I was pretty surprised by how much I could remember of it off-hand, even though it was a decade ago. There are things that happened last week that I can’t recall, but this stuff my brain has space for.

Arijit Singh was one of the participants of singing reality show, Fame Gurukul (2005),

wherein he could not even manage to be among the Top 5. Although, Arijit was one of the most loved singers on the show, he ended up at 6th position. During the elimination episode, another contestant, Qazi Touqeer (who went on to win the competition later) had said that Arijit goes too much into the song and that its feel gets lost. However, one of the judges on the show, Shankar Mahadevan, had called Arijit Singh as one of the best singers on the show and had promised to give him work, which he actually did after the show.

Qazi Tauqeer who won the reality show Fame Gurukul back in 2005 has been away from the glare of publicity, is now seen shaking his leg with Katrina Kaif in Phantom movie’s new song, Afghan Jalebi.

However, Qazi has not lent his voice for this song. Afghan Jalebi, composed by Pritam, is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Pakistani singer Syed Asrar Shah.

Reliance Jio Chairman Mukhesh Ambani announced a new Happy New Year offer for customers on Thursday, extending the benefits of the original Welcome Offer which gives Reliance Jio customers unlimited voice calling, text messages and data for free. However the Reliance Jio Happy New Year plan will come with a Fair Usage Police or FUP which will cap data for Reliance Jio customers at around 1 GB per day. The Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer will be free for all customers till March 31, 2017.

In the last 3 months, nearly 900 crore voice calls from Jio to the networks of our 3 largest competitors were blocked.

Through all this, Jio has been a tireless champion for Indian customers and their right to free voice services

I am happy to inform that Jio now fully supports mobile number portability and all customers can retain their existing number when they migrate to Jio
